MAP-Works for Faculty and Staff

MAP-Works Training

We have many different training options to make sure that training is efficient and effective for our campus partners. We have training sessions for:

New Users

All faculty and staff who wish to participate in the MAP-Works program will need to be trained. Training will be ninety minutes and will give you an overview of MAP-Works at NIU, results from the previous years, helpful tips on how to use MAP-Works to assist you in your role at NIU, as well as hands on training within the system.

Training dates and times for the 2014-2015 academic year:

  • Wednesday, August 6, 1-2:00 p.m. (Cole Hall 106)
  • Friday, August 15, 10-11:00 a.m. (Cole Hall 106)
  • Monday, August 18, 10-11:00 a.m. (Cole Hall 106)
  • Tuesday, August 26, 1-2:00 p.m. (LaTourette Hall 201)
  • Thursday, September 4, 10-11:00 a.m. (Wirtz Hall 316)

For more information or to schedule an individual training session, email mapworks@niu.edu.

Returning Users

This year, all returning users in the MAP-Works program will not need to be trained. A breif summary report of MAP-Works results from the previous year as well as improvements that have been made to the system will be sent out to users to review on their own. Returning users are more than welcome to attend the training session for new users. We would also strongly encourage returning users to attend the ongoing training sessions throughout the year and refer to the online resource manual.

If you have any concerns, questions, or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact OSAS at mapworks@niu.edu

The OSAS is proud to offer Food for Thought. We will provide the food and MAP-Works users can partake in continued training and professional development on the program. Dates and topics for the 2014-2015 academic year will be posted as soon as they are available.
