According to the University Leadership Council (2009), students transferring out of an institution account for a significant portion of attrition at some schools. The OSAS works with the office of Registration and Records to monitor students who are having transcripts sent to other institutions. The goal of this program is to identify students who are looking to transfer to another institution. While some students will transfer for reasons that are outside of the university's control, many others will reconsider if they are introduced to academic or social resources that they may have overlooked (University Leadership Council, 2009). Our Student Success Specialists work with these students to see if there is anything that we can do for them or provide any resources or support that they might be looking for in order to be successful.
