The OSAS takes a proactive approach to re-enrolling our students by working with the office of Registration and Records. Our student success specialists contact identified students who have not yet enrolled in the next semester. They reach out to these students out to see why they have not yet enrolled or to see if they need assistance on any issues that they might be facing.
Many times students do not realize that there are resources on campus that can help them with obstacles that they might be encountering. Other times students forget that they need to meet with their academic advisor or submit final admission paperwork to be able to register. By reaching out to these students, we can form a meaningful relationship with them to show that we care about their success. Contacting students between semesters is also a critical intervention period in the ideals of proactive case management.
