The Memorial Garden was created in honor of the students injured and those who lost their lives. This memorial is dedicated to them. The architect designed the Reflection Wall to embrace the unity and strengh of the NIU family. The benches facing the five granite sections are to encourage those who pass to pause and reflect. The artist created the sculpture entitled, Remembered, of five flowing triangles to represent an eternal flame reaching to the heavens.
The NIU Memorial Center is located in the Holmes Student Center room 7B. It is in the basement between the One Card office and TCF Bank.
