Huskie Bucks

Copy Machines

The NIU copy machines require the use of Huskie Bucks and do not take cash. To use the copy machines, and if you are a OneCard ID holder, you must already have opened a Huskie Bucks account and deposited funds to it. If you have not already done so, see Opening an Account and Deposit Options before proceeding any further.

If you are not eligible for a OneCard ID, you have the option to purchase a Courtesy Card from one of the various VTS (Value Transfer Stations) on campus. The cost of the card is $1.00, and it is specifically designed to accept the Huskie Bucks amounts that are entered into the machine for it.

Either of the following cards will work in the numerous copy machines at NIU:

OneCard ID OneCard ID Card: Only students, faculty, staff, retirees, and campus ministers are eligible to obtain a OneCard ID.
Account: Once you have your OneCard, open a Huskie Bucks account.
Deposit: Make a Huskie Bucks deposit with any of our convenient deposit methods.
Copy Card VTS Courtesy Card: Anyone can obtain a Courtesy Card. Simply visit one of NIU's Value Transfer Stations (VTS machines).
Account: A Huskie Bucks account is pre-enabled on each VTS-dispensed Courtesy Card.
Deposit: To deposit funds, visit any VTS machine or visit the OneCard ID Office.

Note: Problems with the copy machines or VTS Machines must be handled by ITS Customer Support Services at (815) 753-9173. The OneCard ID Office is unable to help customers with these issues.

Additional information (copy locations, color copies, and troubleshooting) related to the NIU copy machines is located on Information Technology Services website.
