DROPPING A CLASS: You may drop an offcampus course by calling T.R.A.C.S. prior to the applicable deadline.
Undergraduates: For full semester (16 week) off-campus courses that begin the week of January 14, 2008, the last day to drop is the second class meeting. For full semester (14 week) off-campus courses that begin the week of January 28, 2008, the last day to drop is the second class meeting.
Graduates and SALs: For full semester (16 week) courses that begin the week of January 14, the last day to add and drop is Monday, January 28, 2008. For full semester (14 week) courses that begin the week of January 28, the last day to add and drop is Monday, February 11, 2008. For a course that is less than a full semester (14 weeks for standard late starting off campus courses) but at least a half semester in length (7 weeks for standard half-session off-campus courses) the drop deadline for students-at-large and graduate students is the eighth calendar day from the start of the week in which the first scheduled class meeting occurs.
For any other course that is less than eight weeks in length, the drop deadline for students-at-large and graduate students is the eighth calendar day from the start of the week in which the first scheduled class meeting occurs or the second class meeting, whichever is earlier.

Undergraduates: Dean’s office, your major College.
March 7, Friday: Last day for undergraduates to withdraw from an off campus course that begins the week of January 28, 2008.
Graduate students or Students-at-large (SALs): Graduate School, Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois 60115-2864.
March 7, Friday: Last day for graduate students or students-at-large to withdraw from an off-campus course that begins the week of January 289, 2008. For courses that do not conform to the standard full-semester calendar, the withdrawal deadline is the midpoint of the period over which the course is offered.
WITHDRAWAL FROM THE UNIVERSITY:
Undergraduates: To drop or withdraw from all of your courses, contact the Dean’s office of your major college in writing. If you are passing at the time of withdrawal, you will receive a grade of “W” (withdrawal passing); otherwise you may receive a grade of F.
