Public Health (B.S.) is an exciting, diverse major concerned with the health needs of populations. Focusing on health promotion and disease prevention and addressing complex health problems at the community level, students may choose to concentrate their studies in one of four focus areas.
Through extensive classroom and hands-on experience, students acquire the health care planning and information handling skills needed for a diverse and constantly changing field.
Alumni are employed everywhere in health care including: hospitals, health care management organizations, county health departments, nursing homes, health care accrediting agencies.
