On Campus

Public Health and Health Education students attending classes on the main campus in DeKalb have access to classrooms equipped with projection systems and interconnected computers with internet access. Most major classes are held in Wirtz Hall where facilities include advising and faculty offices, a computer classroom seating 40 students, a computer laboratory, a spacious light-filled student lounge area, and classrooms of various sizes. Many classes are delivered with BlackBoard support.

NIU-Naperville

The Public Health Program offers classes at the NIU-Naperville Center. Classrooms are scheduled so that late afternoon, evening, and weekend classes are available.

Community Resources

The northern Illinois area is rich and diverse in public health resources. These resources include public health departments, community health agencies, professional health associations, hospitals and nursing homes, health clinics, health maintenance organizations, human service agencies, private businesses and industries, and more.
