Items on the agenda include a resolution honoring President John Peters for 10 years of continuing leadership, a resolution honoring Student Trustee Matthew Venaas and Board of Trustees officer election results for Fiscal Year 2011.
Graduate School recruiterLyndon Perkins has a map of the United States on the wall of his Adams Hall office, but he has stopped keeping track of all the cities that he visits while recruiting graduate students to NIU.
“I told my graduate students, ‘Don’t put any more pins in that map,’ ” laughs Perkins, NIU’s director of Graduate School recruitment and student support services. “It makes me tired looking at it.”

Huskie coaches hit the roadFive free events begin May 13
NIU Intercollegiate Athletics coaches and staff will meet and greet Huskie fans at five free events in the area this spring at the annual Huskie Athletic Support Fund (HASF) Spring Coaches’ Caravans, held in partnership with the NIU Alumni Association.
Events will be held in St. Charles, Lombard, Rockford, Chicago and DeKalb/Sycamore.
