Four finalists will meet with students, faculty, staff

Four finalists for the deanship of NIU’s College of Education will come to campus in the next two weeks for open forums with students, faculty and staff.

The successful candidate will replace Dean Lemuel Watson, who was named to the top job in May of 2007.

Diana Rogers-Adkinson, chair of the Department of Special Education at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, arrives on campus Wednesday and will hold forums Thursday and Friday.

Rogers-Adkinson joined UW-Whitewater in 1999 and has served as director of University Learning Communities since 2007. She earned her Ph.D. and master’s degree from Kent State University and her bachelor’s from Ball State University.

Her open forums will take place in Altgeld Hall 315.
