NIU is tapping Lisa C. Freeman of Kansas State University – a highly accomplished teacher, scientist and administrator with a strong record of attracting external funding and building collaborations – to become the new vice president for Research and Graduate Studies.

NIU athletes mixed sports with story time last month at Malta Elementary School.

Representing men’s and women’s soccer, gymnastics, track and field and women’s golf, a group of 15 Huskies read books to the children and answered their questions about sports, life and the importance of literacy and learning.


'Pop Culture Exhibition Suite'NIU’s Art Museum to present ‘Pop Culture Exhibition Suite’

NIU’s Art Museum will present three shows from Tuesday, Jan. 19, through Friday, March 5.

The “Pop Culture Exhibition Suite” includes “Midwestern BLAB! 2,” “ROOT HOG, OR DIE!” and “Heroes, Villains and the American Zeitgeist.”
