Barb Rice
June 18, 2007
Barb Rice, of Human Resource Services, has been named recipient of the Lee Frost-Kumpf Award. She was honored during the annual State and University Employees Combined Appeal (SECA) awards ceremony and was presented the trophy by Maureen T. O’Donnell, acting director, of the Illinois Department of Central Management Services. Rice’s supervisor Steve Cunningham, associate vice president of administration and human resources, was present when she received this award on April 19 at the governor’s executive mansion in Springfield.
The annual award is given to one individual who exemplifies the memory of Lee Frost-Kumpf – an honor named for a former SECA board member to recognize outstanding dedication, leadership, and enthusiasm for volunteerism.
As NIU’s representative, Barb serves as a member of the SECA executive advisory board and campaign ambassador for the statewide charitable organization.
