| Lise Mae Schlosser
Lise Mae Schlosser is a woman who has managed to combine full-time work, academic study and family responsibilities in ways that have impressed those who know her. As an undergraduate, she wrote a paper that she was asked to present at an international conference. After earning her baccalaureate degree, she worked in the private sector. She returned to NIU in 2003 to begin graduate work and to work as the Women's Studies secretary. She has continued to present conference papers and to excel in her graduate studies while also serving the community as a member of the Presidential Commission on the Status of Women, a judge for the regional history fair and a mentor and peer tutor for Intercollegiate Athletics and ACCESS students. She plans to pursue a doctoral degree upon completion of her master's program.
