 Betty Baugh
| Betty L. Baugh
Betty L. Baugh has served as the unofficial recording secretary and “behind-the-scenes” impresario of the President's Commission on the Status of Women for 22 years. Commission chairs and members have relied on her organizational skills, institutional memory and calming influence in coordinating conferences, awards ceremonies and commission meetings. Betty also has been a key staff member in the Women's Resource Center, training new staff, improving procedures and mentoring student interns. She seems to know instinctively how much a student can take on at any given time, nudges them toward their full potential and, as one of her nominators says, “fosters a sense of responsibility in those who have lost their way.”
