Public Affairs compiling 'experts guide' on topics related to international crises
The NIU Office of Public Affairs is seeking faculty who are willing to reply to media queries on topics related to the ongoing conflicts with Iraq and North Korea.
The Office of Public Affairs would like to know your relevant area of expertise. Members of the media frequently contact us in search of professors whose insights can help bring perspective and balance to breaking news.
As international events continue to escalate, we anticipate growing interest on a wide variety of topics such as terrorism, politics, diplomacy, the Middle East, wartime history, national security, wartime economies, military capabilities, U.S. international relations, the United Nations, American civil rights and coping with war or terror.
Public Affairs will provide area news agencies with the list of our faculty experts. The list also will be posted on the NIU Web site.
Listings will include: Area of expertise, faculty member name, department, department phone number and NIU e-mail address (optional). Click here for a Web site with information on our current list of experts.
Faculty members who would like to be added to the experts guide should contact Tom Parisi (753-3635, tparisi@niu.edu) or Joe King (753-4299, joking@niu.edu).
