WOMEN'S CLUB ANNUAL FALL TEA SEPT. 12
Barbara Peters and the University Women's Club will host the club's annual Fall Tea from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at the President's home, 901 Woodlawn Drive. The University Women's Club is open to women who are employed at the university, the spouse of an employee, a retiree or the spouse of a retiree. The organization, which provides many social activities throughout the year, offers an excellent opportunity to stay connected with friends and meet new friends and offers various interest groups for its members. Save this date and plan to attend the Fall Tea and join the University Women's Club at that time.

NEW MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT RATE
Effective July 1, 2002, the State of Illinois mileage reimbursement rate for the use of personal vehicles has been increased from 34.5 cents per mile to 36.5 cents per mile. This applies to travel that took place on or after July 1, 2002. The NIU travel voucher form has been updated to reflect this change.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL GOLF OUTING
The NIU women's basketball team will host their fourth annual Fore Hoops Golf Outing fundraiser on Monday, Aug. 5, at River Heights Golf Course in DeKalb. The event features a scramble-format competition beginning with an 11 a.m. shotgun start. A $70 entry fee buys 18 holes of golf with cart provided. Prizes will be presented for the top men's, women's and co-ed competitors, while many other items will also be available in a raffle and auction. The day concludes with an awards dinner featuring steak, chicken and pork chops, or fans can simply enjoy the dinner portion of the program for $20. Golfers are encouraged to sign up in foursomes, although individuals can enter and will be paired into teams. The deadline for golfing reservations is Thursday, Aug.1. LAW LIBRARY FALL HOURS
The schedule of hours for the David C. Shapiro Memorial Law Library for Monday, Aug. 19 through Saturday, Nov. 30 are: Monday through Thursday, 7:15 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.; Friday, 7:15 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday, noon to 11:30 p.m. On Sunday, Sept. 1, and Monday, Sept. 2, the library will be open from 1 to 10 p.m. Hours for Thanksgiving recess are: Wednesday, Nov. 27, 7:15 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29, closed; Saturday, Nov. 30, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday, Dec. 1, 10 to 2 a.m. For more information, call 753-0507.
