WORKERS NEEDED FOR FOOTBALL GAMES Do you want to earn some extra money? Do you have a group looking for a way to earn money? How about working at the six home football games for NIU Athletics? We need ticket sellers, ticket takers, ushers, parking personnel, security personnel and program sellers for the following dates: Aug. 29 (Thursday evening) and the following Saturdays: Sept. 21 and 28, Oct. 19, Nov. 9 and 23. COMMUNITY DANCE SCHOOL REGISTRATION Fall registration for the NIU Community Dance School is underway for classes that meet weekly from Sept. 9 - Dec. 13. The school, sponsored by the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education, teaches the fundamentals of various dance forms and allows each individual to expand upon their own abilities. Classes begin at age four and continue through teen and adult. Classes offered include creative movement, ballet, Irish step dancing, jazz/hip hop, tap, and ballroom, Latin and swing. Students are taught by instructors who hold degrees in dance education, who have danced professionally or are currently dance performance majors at NIU. For more information, call 753-1296.
MPA GOLF OUTING The Division of Public Administration is holding their fifth annual MPA Golf Outing Fundraiser on Friday, Aug. 16, at River Heights Golf Course in DeKalb. Join with alumni, friends, faculty and staff of public administration for a day of fun-filled fellowship, golf, meals, an auction and a raffle to benefit the MPA program at NIU. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m., lunch at 11 a.m., shotgun start at noon, drinks at 4 p.m. and dinner at 5 p.m. The price for golfing, meals and the auction is $80, golfing & lunch only is $65 and dinner and the auction only are $25. Prices will increase after Aug. 1. All proceeds will go to the MPA program; in the past funds have been used to support the computer lab, new student orientation and graduation receptions.
