Rachel Carrier recently transferred from Payroll & Compensation to the Office of Student Employment, where she is a human resource officer. She is attending graduate school at NIU.

What are the responsibilities of your position?
I am responsible for inputting and maintaining the student jobs and positions in the human resource system.

How did you choose your profession?
I wanted to continue in school to get my master's degree, so why not stay?

If you weren't in your current job field, what would you be doing?
I currently am enrolled in school as a student-at-large and will work toward my master's in school counseling or human resources.

What are you reading?
"The Villa" by Nora Roberts.

What music are you listening to lately?
I listen to everything from Garth Brooks to Limp Bizkit.

What good movies have you seen lately?
Probably "American Pie 2."

Do you have a favorite TV show?
I like "Friends" and "The Practice."
