Preparing for the Unplanned: Strategies to Minimize Risk in Times of Crisis and Disaster

If a tornado, fire, toxic chemical spill, pandemic illness outbreak or gunman/hostage situation were to occur in your workplace would your organization be prepared to manage the event in a safe, efficient and orderly manner?

The unexpected can occur at any time, at any place.  Organizations, businesses, community leaders need to take a proactive role in establishing a plan of action should any of these situations occur.

Identify:

  • Financial strategies for disaster management
  • Physical strategies for managing the event
  • Media management and internal/external communication strategies
  • HR’s role in emergency planning and response

Representatives of the Domestic Preparedness Team of Rockford Health Systems; County Health Departments; and Agencies providing assistance will provide you with a wealth of information to help organizations develop an effective emergency management strategy; gain insight into resources available; and establish a network of local agencies to assist in time of need.
