Obtain Your Construction Management Certification

Plumbing systems can make or break a construction project. This course covers everything from blueprint reading to water supply systems, plumbing fixtures and fire suppression. It will benefit professionals working in support of construction trades or those considering building or remodeling their dream home.  Anyone with limited experience or seeking positions in the construction trades will also benefit from this course.

Course outline:

  • Plumbing tools, piping materials, fittings, valves, faucets and meters
  • Heating and cooling water
  • Plumbing fixtures
  • Soldering, brazing, welding and lead wiping
  • Blueprint reading and sketching
  • Plumbing system design—coordination and standardization
  • Water supply systems
  • Private waste disposal systems
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Gas piping and installation
  • Maintaining and repairing plumbing systems
  • Sprinkler systems
  • Safety and quality
  • OSHA requirements and fire suppression
  • New products and industry trends  

This course may be taken to obtain a certification as part of the Construction Management Certification (CMC) Program, or as an individual course for those interested in the topic.  There are 8 courses to be completed to obtain a CMC certification. Participants seeking to become certified will have 3 years to complete this series of courses and the corresponding examinations.
