Obtain Your Construction Management Certification

Pre-construction meetings and issues involving proper framing create the backbone for any construction project. This course covers a wealth of topics, from coordination of various trades to fire separation, door installation, windows and stairs. It will benefit professionals working in support of construction trades or those considering building or remodeling their dream home.  Anyone with limited experience or seeking positions in the construction trades also will benefit from this course.

Course outline:

  • Coordination of trades, pre-construction meetings
  • Print symbols and dimensions
  • Floor framing, installing sill plates, joist layout and material types
  • Wall framing, load bearing and non-bearing partitions, wall sheathing
  • Roof framing
  • Exterior finishing
  • Interior framing

This course may be taken to obtain a certification as part of the Construction Management Certification (CMC) Program, or as an individual course for those interested in the topic.  There are 8 courses to be completed to obtain a CMC certification. Participants seeking to become certified will have 3 years to complete this series of courses and the corresponding examinations.
