Obtain Your Construction Management Certification or Take as a Refresher Course

Quality HVAC and insulation work are key elements to the safety, functionality and comfort levels inside new construction projects. This course will cover everything from heating and cooling design to types of insulation. It will benefit professionals working in support of construction trades or those considering building or remodeling their dream home.  Anyone with limited experience or seeking positions in the construction trades also will benefit from this course. 

Course outline:

• Introduction to heating and cooling
• Selection of a distribution system
• Accessories, including humidifiers, filters and zone controller
• Psychometrics
• Chimneys, vents and flues
• Pre-engineered fireplaces
• Ventilation and draft control
• Current HVAC systems
• Thermal insulation and sound control

This course may be taken to obtain a certification as part of the Construction Management Certification (CMC) Program, or as an individual course for those interested in the topic.  There are 8 courses to be completed to obtain a CMC certification. Participants seeking to become certified will have 3 years to complete this series of courses and the corresponding examinations.
