Obtain Your Construction Management Certification

New innovations in home building include exciting developments in electrical systems. This course gives an excellent overview of quality, code, safety, trouble-shooting and weather conditions related to electrical systems. It will benefit professionals working in support of construction trades or those considering building or remodeling their dream home.  Anyone with limited experience or seeking positions in the construction trades also will benefit from this course.

Course outline:

  • Electrical energy fundamentals, circuit theory and components
  • Safety and grounding essentials
  • Safety during installation
  • Wiring systems, installing boxes and conductors
  • Planning branch circuits
  • Reading blueprints, wiring circuits and standardized symbols
  • Service entrance, appliance wiring/special outlets and electric meters
  • Low voltage circuits
  • New innovations in home building

This course may be taken to obtain a certification as part of the Construction Management Certification (CMC) Program, or as an individual course for those interested in the topic.  There are 8 courses to be completed to obtain a CMC certification. Participants seeking to become certified will have 3 years to complete this series of courses and the corresponding examinations.
