“With dedicated professors and extraordinary facilities, students say NIU provides a private school education on a state school budget.”
- BusinessWeek
The NIU College of Business has been ranked among the best business schools in the nation by BusinessWeek magazine, checking in at No. 65 on the list.
The rankings were based on a number of factors, including academic performance, feedback from companies that recruit nationwide and responses from student surveys.
The college received especially high marks from its students:
Students rated the college so highly that NIU would have been ranked 36th in the survey, had the survey been based solely on student satisfaction.
Other Illinois schools making the rankings were the University of Illinois (No. 22) and Illinois State University (No. 75). This is the second year that Business Week had ranked undergraduate business programs.
