While continuing to encourage suggestions from the Northern Illinois University community, the Memorial Committee has begun to establish requirements and criteria for a fitting permanent memorial to victims of the Feb. 14 tragedy on campus.
The NIU Memorial Center is located in Altgeld Hall room 125. This memorial room will be in place until a permanent campus memorial is created.
NIU Vice President for University Advancement Michael P. Malone, who has been named chair of the February 14th Memorial Committee, is soliciting suggestions for the creation of a permanent physical memorial to honor the victims of the tragic events of February 14. Members of the NIU community are encouraged to send their suggestions to memorial@niu.edu.
