NIU announces Spring Commencement

DeKalb, Ill. — Northern Illinois University will hold commencement Friday, May 7, and Saturday, May 8, at the university’s Convocation Center in DeKalb. The media are welcome to attend and cover these ceremonies.

NIU Commencement Schedule

Friday, May 7, 6:30 p.m.

Graduate School ceremony combining doctoral, masters and performer’s certificate candidates

Saturday, May 8 

Undergraduate Ceremony One – 9 a.m.

  • College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

Undergraduate Ceremony Two – 1:30 p.m.

  • College of Business
  • College of Engineering and Engineering Technology
  • College of Visual and Performing Arts

Undergraduate Ceremony Three – 5:30 p.m.

  • College of Education
  • College of Health and Human Sciences

Live streamed video of the ceremonies will be provided online by NIU Media Services at http://www.media.niu.edu/, and VHS and DVD copies of the video can be ordered from the same site.
