Bryan Alderson, the Executive Chef at Washington’s, is a senior at Northern Illinois University. Bryan is studying Hospitality Administration with a minor in Business and will be graduating in December 2009. He graduated from Waubonsie Valley High School in Aurora, IL and is interested in finding a job in the hotel or resort aspect of Hospitality but is unsure exactly what department of the hotel or resort. Bryan just finished an internship at Tan-Tar-A Resort in Missouri and looks forward to learning more and gaining more expertise as he enters his career in the near future.
Andrea Catalano is the Dining Room Manager for Washington’s. Originally from Edwardsville, IL (just across the river from St. Louis, MO) Andrea is now a senior Hospitality Administration Major at NIU. Also working toward a minor in Business Administration, she plans to graduate in the spring of 2010. Andrea is a former Disney College Program participant and spent seven months working in food service at the Walt Disney World Resort. After graduation Andrea would like to return to Disney World for a Professional Internship with Disney’s Fairytale Weddings, gaining experience so she can one day have her own business planning weddings.
Megan Laurent is the Sous Chef at Washington’s, a restaurant featuring cuisines across America. She is a senior Nutrition and Dietetics Major graduating in May 2010. She grew up in Aurora, IL and attended school there until coming to NIU. Her plans after graduation are to go to graduate school and get her Masters in Nutrition. Her career goals include working with eating disorder patients or opening up a clinic, dealing with clients one-on-one.
