Society for Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science
SACNAS is a society of scientists dedicated to fostering the success of Hispanic/Chicano and Native American scientists—from college students to professionals—to attain advanced degrees, careers, and positions of leadership in science.To increase the number of Hispanics/Chicanos and Native Americans with advanced degrees in science and the motivation to be leaders.To increase the number of Hispanics/Chicanos and Native Americans in science research, leadership, and teaching careers at all levels. To increase governmental commitment to advancing Hispanics/Chicanos and Native Americans in science resulting in increased resources, elimination of barriers, and greater equity.
Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers
The objective of our organization is to increase recruitment and retention of Hispanic engineering students at NIU, promote the advancement of Hispanic engineers and scientists in employment and education, develop and participate in programs for technical degrees, provide a forum for students to exchange information, promote engineering programs for minorities, and represent the Hispanic professional students on campus.
Supporting Opportunities for Latinos
Supporting Opportunities for Latinos (S.O.L.): Is a student group that emerged to meet the needs of Latino males. The Latino Resource Center collaborates closely with S.O.L. to provide academic, social, cultural, and leadership opportunities that enhance students' retention and graduation.

Delta Psi Alpha Co-Ed Fraternity
Delta Psi Alpha is a Greek Co-Ed Fraternity catered to diverse and multicultural women and men in universities. Delta Psi Alpha fosters and advocates fellowship amongst its diverse membership enhancing college life experience through Greek life.

Since its inception in 1982, Lambda Upsilon Lambda has remained on the vanguard of political and community empowerment by developing influential leaders that strive to exert knowledge and power into its peers in order to attain mutual success. We commit ourselves to academic excellence, leadership development and cultural enlightenment, enhanced by a diverse cognizant membership.
Our Chapter is geared toward grooming Brothers with leadership skills, academic excellence, and community involvement. To nurture and further a dynamic values-based environment which utilizes our historically Latino-based fraternity as a catalyst to better serve the needs and wants of all people.
Tau Phi Sigma Multicultural Fraternity
The purpose of this fraternity is and shall be to promote and maintain the traditional values of Loyalty, Respect, Equality, Unity, and Pride. This brotherhood was founded in order to provide to any man, a diverse fraternal experience which coincides with higher education.The brothers of Tau Phi Sigma proudly represent the fraternity as a true diverse brotherhood built upon the ideals of serving communities through conducting philanthropic events and fundraising, mentoring students and promoting higher education, conducting social programs for networking, and supporting cultural awareness.
The primary mission of Omega Delta is to provide leadership opportunities, cultural diversity, an environment conducive to academic achievement, professional advancement and social growth. All in the hopes of moving young men towards a final change.
