The mission of "De Mujer a Mujer" is to provide academic support that will increase the retention and graduation rates of Latinas at Northern Illinois University by providing programs, activities and leadership opportunities that foster self-confidence, self-awareness, and self-esteem.

De Mujer a Mujer offers students the opportunity to:

1. Establish a positive and professional support network for Latinas.
2. Promote education, career, and personal development.
3. Increase cultural and gender role awareness among participants.
4. Encourage women to be active and productive members of the community.
