El Grito

Reverse Career Fair

Experience a unique twist on a traditional career fair—a chance to STAND ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE TABLE! Employers are always asking to meet student leaders, and this is the chance for them to connect. Students can: interview employers, find out what they’re looking for, access professionals, network with others in their field, and showcase their student group. The event will feature an interactive career preparation panel and include discussions on professionalism and tips from industry professionals for internships and first-year employees.

SOL Car Show

Saturday, September 27th
Campus Life Building  • 11:00AM - 3:00 PM
SoL would like to welcome you to our 2nd Annual Car Show. Come and enjoy the best cars around, the best tricked out trucks, and the coolest bikes to ride. Organizations will be fundraising food and drinks. Event is free. Do not miss out!

will visit the Carribean Islands. Here you will learn more about each region
and enjoy native dishes. Entertainment, knowledge, and food is free.

Latin Jazz

Featuring the DeKalb Latin Jazz Collective and the NIU Afro - Cuban Ensemble.

BLT/La Feria Cultural

Mingle with Latino students, faculty, and staff from NIU. Meet and greet students from all the major fields.
BLT will transition into La Feria Cultural, where students will learn about the Latin American countries.

Noche de Gala

HSC, Duke Ellington Ballroom  •  6:30 PM - 10:00 PM
Come and join us to celebrate the closing of the Latino Heritage Month. The night promises to be packed
with live entertainment, food, and dancing in a formal setting (Dress code: Black tie). Performances by
Tumbao, a Keynote speaker, DJ and much more! Cost is $5 (fundraising for the NIU Dream Action Scholarship)
