Undergraduate Research Opportunities
Undergraduate students are indispensible members of research
labs, and the TDL has numerous opportunities for undergraduate involvement. In
addition to assisting with ongoing research projects, undergraduates may also have
the opportunity to design and execute their own studies within the lab.
Students will be involved in all aspects of the research process, including
data collection and entry, data analysis, and dissemination of research results
(e.g., writing manuscripts, presenting research).
Undergraduate students can participate in the lab as a
volunteer, or may be eligible to receive course credit (PSYC 485).
The number of hours of participation required per week will vary based upon lab
need and student availability. Those students who are interested in applying to
graduate school are strongly encouraged to participate in a research lab,
particularly in their sophomore and junior years.
The TDL will likely be accepting undergraduate applications for research
participation for the Spring 2013 semester. If you are interested in applying,
please contact Dr. Paul (lpaul1@niu.edu) and
complete the application form below.
