The ACLU is an organization whose membership is interested in and advocates for the civil liberties of the individual in the courts, the legislature, and the street. The ACLU organization focuses its attention and activities on the broad array of issues affecting individual freedom and the Bill of Rights. This organization encourages diversity of thought and strives for a fuller understanding of jurisprudence. It also aims to offer law students meaningful interaction with their peers and to give them an opportunity for fuller expression of their ideas.
