NIU College of Law Named to Best Value Law School List for the Third Year in a Row
December 21, 2016
DeKalb, Ill--Northern Illinois University College of Law has again been named, for the third year in a row, as one of the top law schools in the nation based on value by National Jurist magazine.
As part of its 2016 Best Value Law Schools study, National Jurist assessed employment, tuition, cost of living, and indebtedness upon graduation, with jobs for graduates ranked as the most important factor.
“NIU has a history of excellence, innovation, and attention to student needs and student progress,” noted Northern Law Dean Eric Dannenmaier, “to deliver an outstanding legal education for a tuition that’s less than half the state average is an important part of our public service mission.”
NIU College of Law prepares graduates for careers through in-depth core classes and extensive hands-on training in legal clinics, externship placements, and specialized upper-level courses.
Northern Law graduates enter a range of legal and public service careers, and include over 90 alumni who are active or retired judges. In addition to practicing law, many graduates also choose careers as leaders in government and business where the JD degree is a recognized advantage.
A complete list of the Best Value Law Schools appears in the October print issue of National Jurist magazine.
