George B. Huff ('79) Honored on Capitol Hill

DeKalb, Ill.--NIU College of Law alumnus George B. Huff ('79) recently achieved one of the highest distinctions possible for a public servant. According to a release, on September 30, 2014, Huff was honored in a ceremony on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. The ceremony recognized his more than 30 years of distinguished service to the Administrative Office of the United States Courts.

Huff has a long history of service to the federal judiciary, having begun as an intern to the Office of U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois before working as a Deputy Clerk and Deputy Attorney General. He became Attorney-Advisor for the Administrative Office in 1985. Huff is also a veteran, having retired from the U.S. Army Reserve in 2000 as a Lieutenant Colonel with a highly-decorated record of service.

Huff has also published articles and presented webinars for the American Bar Association on a wide variety of topics from business to health concerns to cybersecurity. Currently, Huff is founder and owner of The Continuity Project, LLC, a business continuity management consultancy firm. He is also a member of the Committee on Disaster Response and Preparedness for the American Bar Association.
