The Zeke Giorgi Legal Clinic is located in downtown Rockford, Illinois, adjacent to the Winnebago County Courthouse. It is named in honor of Edolo “Zeke” Giorgi, a member of the Illinois House of Representatives for the 67th District from 1965 until his death in 1993. Zeke was instrumental in bringing the College of Law to NIU. The Clinic stands as a tribute to Zeke’s legislative efforts on behalf of young people and education, as well as his deep commitment to providing assistance to his local constituents. The Civil Justice Clinic and the Juvenile Justice Clinic are both housed at the Zeke Giorgi Legal Clinic in Rockford.

A portion of Swen Parson Hall was recently renovated to create an office space exclusively reserved for students enrolled in the clinical program. Students may use this space to work on case matters on the days when they are not in Rockford or at another clinical location.

Expansion Plans

The Dean and Clinical Director are currently working on plans to expand clinical opportunities for students. Once these plans come to fruition, we will update this site with the new clinic location.
