NIU Law Student Jennifer Lindt Receives Illinois Bar Foundation Scholarship

DeKalb, Ill. – Jennifer Lindt, a third-year student at Northern Illinois University College of Law, received a $3,000 scholarship from the Illinois Bar Foundation. Criteria for the award includes good academic standing, financial need, current volunteer and employment experience, law school extra-curricular activities and involvement in the Illinois State Bar Association.

An exceptional student, Lindt, of Elmhurst, Ill., has been on the Dean’s List each semester and currently ranks in the top 10 of her class. In addition to her studies, Lindt is an active member of the Women’s Law Caucus and the Public Interest Law Society, where she served as president from 2005-06.  Lindt also is a member of the NIU Law Review, where she published, Protecting the Most Vulnerable Victims: Prosecution of Child Sex Offenses in Illinois Post-Crawford v. Washington, in its Fall 2006 edition. In addition, Lindt has served as a law clerk for the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office since May 2005.
