Professor Widman to Speak at Consortium
Professor Amy Widman will be speaking to law students at the Chicago Area Law School Consortium's Practice Tracks program on Thursday, February 21, 2013. The Consortium includes all nine Illinois law schools plus Valparaiso and Notre Dame Law Schools from Indiana. Although all law students are invited, the focus is on first-year students. Practitioners from more than 50 different fields are invited so that law students can talk with any of the practitioners in the fields that interest them. The program attracts between 200 and 300 students.
Professor Widman Interviewed for Online Legal Article
Professor Amy Widman was quoted in a recent article by Alison Frankel of the Thompson-Reuters news service. The article dealt with the use of private attorneys by state Attorneys General, and Professor Widman was consulted due to her expertise in that area and her recent congressional testimony on the matter.
Professor Widman Presents at Colloquium
Professor Amy Widman presented at the third annual Loyola Constitutional Law Colloquium on Saturday, November 3 at 9:00 a.m. in room 1304 of the Loyola University Chicago School of Law. The title of her presentation was "The Rostrum Principle of Statutory Interpretation" and it was based on an upcoming article from Professor Widman.
