  • Mariam HafeziMariam Hafezi won an appellate court case in the First District of Illinois (Barr v. Cunningham) which will make it more difficult for schools to be immune from prosecution for conduct that results in injuries to children. - April 2016



  • Stephanie Hilton was appointed and sworn in as the State's Attorney for Hancock County (Illinois) earlier this year. Stephanie began her career in private practice in Warren County and in 2012 became an assistant state's attorney in McDonough County. She was appointed as the new Hancock County State's Attorney by the Hancock County Board in January 2014. - June 2014
  • Khristian G. Parker has been promoted to general counsel for Teamsters Local 705. Teamsters Local 705 is one of the largest locals of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters with a membership of 1,600 members. As general counsel, Parker is the head of the legal department, representing the local in matters before the National Labor Relations Board, serving as lead negotiator and/or legal advisor for collective bargaining negotiations, representing the local and its members in arbitration matters and advising on internal governance and administrative tasks and policies of the local. - November 2016
  • Khristian Parker has recently been hired as legal counsel for Teamsters Local 705. - March 2016
  • Shannon Stoker (Wapole) released her first book, The Registry. - June 2013
