  • Nick Alexander has been named associate legal counsel for Stryker Corporation, a Michigan-based health care products company. He is responsible for advising the Sage Products business unit. Sage Products is a hospital products company located in Cary, IL, and was recently acquired by Stryker. Prior to this job change, Alexander worked for Sage Products managing the company’s intellectual property portfolio. - July 2016
  • Jody L. Booher was named a 2016 Leading Lawyer in Animal Law, Civil Appellate Law, and Commercial Litigation. She is with Barrick Switzer Long Balsley & Van Evera in Rockford, IL. - April 2016
  • Jody Booher made partner at Barrick Switzer Long Balsley & VanEavera in Rockford, IL, where she practices in General Practice, Equine Law, and Appellate Practice. - January 2015
  • Julie NeubauerJulie A. Johnson (formerly Neubauer) has been elected a member in the firm of Aronberg Goldgehn Davis & Garmisa in Chicago, effective January 1, 2017. Her practice is focused on matrimonial and family law, including divorce, child custody, domestic violence/orders of protection, child support, post-judgment litigation, adoption and parentage.
  • Julie A. (Neubauer) Johnson was appointed chair of the ISBA Standing Committee on Women & the Law and was also appointed to serve on the ISBA Diversity Leadership Council and ISBA Family Law Section Council. In addition, Neubauer has been named a 2016 Emerging Lawyer by Leading Lawyers, an honor awarded to less than 2% of Illinois attorneys under age 40 or practicing less than 10 years. - June 2016
  • Julie A. (Neubauer) Johnson was elected to the ISBA Assembly for Cook County. - May 2013

     

  • On Friday, July 15, 2016, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker appointed Clayton Kawski to serve as a judge on the Dane County Circuit Court, replacing retiring Judge David Flanagan. He will begin his new assignment on August 8, 2016. Kawski has served as an assistant attorney general since 2010 and is the deputy director of the office’s special litigation and appeals unit. Before joining the Attorney General’s office, he practiced law at the firm of Michael Best & Friedrich in Madison, WI. Additionally, Kawski clerked for Justice David T. Prosser on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
  • Clay Kawski was named as a 2013 Up and Coming Lawyer by the Wisconsin Law Journal on September 26, 2013 in Milwaukee. Clay is an Assistant Attorney General for the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
  • Kevin McHugh receives a plaque for being named one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers by National Trial Lawyers.Kevin McHugh was named a 2014 Member of the National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers.  Kevin started his own firm in 2013 and just recently moved his law office to downtown Naperville.  Other notable accomplishments include Kevin earning his LL.M. in Taxation from DePaul University College of Law; receiving the Award for Excellence in Pro Bono and Public Interest Service from the U.S. District Court Northern District of Illinois in 2010; and becoming licensed in Florida in 2008. - August 2014

  • Gary PinterGary Pinter recently joined Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP’s Edwardsville, IL office as a partner. His practice areas include Asbestos Litigation, Toxic Tort Litigation, Product Liability, General Trial Practice, Construction and Environmental Law. - April 2017
  • Gary Pinter made partner at Heyl Royster in Edwardsville, IL. He practices in a variety of areas of civil tort litigation including the defense of matters involving product liability, premises liability, trucking and transportation claims and professional liability.
  • Gina Salamone has been named a 2016 Emerging Lawyer by Leading Lawyers, an honor awarded to less than 2% of Illinois attorneys under age 40 or practicing less than 10 years. - June 2016
