  • Cavan J. Berry was appointed attorney magistrate for the 60th District Court for the county of Muskegon, MI on June 13, 2017.
  • Michael Cortina (left) and Robin Belleau.Michael Cortina received the Lawyer's Assistance Program (LAP) Executive Director's Award from Executive Director Robin Zalewski Belleau ('95) on November 3, 2016 for his dedication and commitment to raise money and awareness of LAP. Michael is a partner at SmithAmundsen LLC.



  • John CurranJohn Curran was sworn in as the new state senator for the 41st Senate District of Illinois on July 26, 2017. He most recently served as vice-chairman of the DuPage County Board and is a former Cook County assistant state's attorney. Curran will represent citizens in thirteen communities in the western suburbs of Chicago.



  • Aldona Norkus Gorman recently joined Baker & McKenzie's North America Compensation and Employment Law Practice as of counsel in Chicago, bringing more than 16 years of experience advising companies on effectively and competitively compensating their global workforces. - June 2016
  • Tina L. HarrisTina L. Harris was installed on November 9, 2014 as the first African American pastor of the Grand Avenue Temple United Methodist Church in Kansas City, MO. Before she became a minister, Harris was an attorney and diversity expert with two international law firms.



  • Richard Irvin was elected the first African American mayor of Aurora, IL in the April 4, 2017 election. Irvin had been serving as an alderman-at-large in Aurora and owns and operates the law offices of Richard C. Irvin and Associates.
