Kenneth C. Chessick Legal Training Skills Center

Dr. Kenneth C. Chessick (Class of 1984) is one of NIU Law’s most distinguished alums. He and his wife, Ellen Chessick, are great supporters of the law school. The state-of-the-art Kenneth C. Chessick Legal Training Skills Center opened in 2004. Established in 2007, the Kenneth C. Chessick Civil Justice Endowed Scholarship Program now has five $25,000 endowed awards, named for his clients who were victims of medical negligence. In 2011, the Kenneth and Ellen Chessick Bridge to the Bar Scholarship Fund was established to help graduates by offering recipients financial support while they prepare for the exam. This sign is placed at the entrance to the Kenneth C. Chessick Legal Training Skills Center.
