Sarmistha Banerjee
About Sarmistha: My name is Sarmistha, but I go by Buri. I was born in Calcutta, India, and I lived there until I was 18. I received my master’s degree in sociology from NIU. I also studied at the College of Dupage.
Previous Legal and/or Professional Experience: Previously, I worked for five months as a legal assistant to a sole practitioner. I also worked as an intern with CompTIA, which is a certification company, and I am a certified paralegal.
What do you like to do in your free time? In my free time, I enjoy music, reading, dancing, and traveling.
Why did you choose NIU Law? I chose NIU because of its affordability and location. I also love the diversity of the college and its focus on public service.
