Renee Keane
About Renee: I graduated from St. Xavier in Chicago in 2010. My father is an attorney and has greatly influenced my desire to pursue a legal career.
Previous Legal and/or Professional Experience: I am a part-time student here at the College of Law, and I also work part time as a law clerk for Hoey & Farina P.C. in downtown Chicago. Hoey & Farina specializes in personal injury cases. Occasionally, I also work for my father’s law office: Raymond Keane Attorney at Law.
What activities are you involved in? At the College of Law, I am a student ambassador, and I am also a member of the Women’s Law Caucus. In the past, I have volunteered at a local hospital and have also provided aid to special-need students in religious education.
Why did you choose NIU Law? I chose NIU Law because of its proximity to Chicago and because of the networking it provides with Chicago firms. I also liked the fact that it is affordable and a high quality education. NIU offers lots of opportunities to network and to join different groups.
