About Krystle: After graduation I plan to work in public interest law, perhaps doing legislative work, and eventually one day own my own nonprofit organization. In my free time I enjoy singing, playing piano and reading.
Previous Legal and/or Professional Experience: After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, I taught preschool and later worked for the Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) doing child welfare. Working for DCFS and getting a feel for governmental and legislative work made me want to go to law school.
Why did you choose NIU Law? I chose NIU Law because I wanted to go somewhere where everybody knows your name, where I could enjoy the feel of a smaller community, and because of the school's proximity to Chicago.
What activities do you want to be involved in? I plan on getting involved at the NIU College of Law by participating in networking opportunities, working at an experiential learning clinic, volunteering, applying for graduate assistantships, and joining the Public Interest Law Society.
