Kinga Chucherko

Kinga Chucherko

About Kinga: Fueled by travels to Vietnam and Indonesia while working at Rutgers University, I am open to combining my passion for education and international law and I know that my J.D. will allow me to take my passions to the next level. I enjoy scuba diving, a hobby my dad and I enjoy doing together. My journey towards law school started while getting my Masters Degree, when I took European trade regulation and international law courses at the law school for part of my degree. Through those courses, I had the chance to meet one of the attorneys on the Saddam Hussein case as well as network with law students and law professors.

Why did you choose NIU Law? I decided to come to the greater Chicago area because half of my family lives here, the other half being on the East Coast. NIU Law stuck out in particular for me because of the new Certificate Program in International Law.

What activities do you want to be involved in?  I aspire to join the staff of the NIU Law Review to further my involvement on campus and I have already joined the law school running group.

This interview was conducted in Fall 2013.
