Kehinde Durowade
About Kehinde: I grew up in Lagos, Nigeria. I moved to the United States 7 years ago with my family. I am a Christian, and I love singing. I enjoy traveling and learning new things. I also have an identical twin. In the future, I would like to be a medical malpractice attorney.
Previous Legal and/or Professional Experience: I interned for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in the Juvenile Justice Bureau. I am also a Research Assistant for the Dean of the Law School.
What activities are you involved in on campus? I am a Graduate Assistant with Student Legal Assistance, where I research landlord-tenant law, expungements, and other criminal issues students have. I am also a member of the Black Law Student Association and served as the treasurer during the 2010-2011 year.
What do you like most about being at NIU Law? I love the people, both the teachers and the students. The small class size of the college makes getting to know people very easy and allows a one-on-one relationship that really makes the law school experience wonderful.
