Kaitlin Hargate

Kaitlin Hargate

About Kaitlin: I originally went into studying psychology to find a way to help people, but eventually I realized I could more directly help people using the court system. After graduation I plan to practice elder law in Rockford. In my free time I enjoy volunteering at Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), studying Spanish, running, and playing piano in my worship band at my church where my parents are pastors.

Previous Legal and/or Professional Experience: After graduating from NIU, I worked at The Law Office of Bradley R. Tengler, a family law firm in Rockford. At the firm I worked as an assistant who handled social media, performed tasks for the firm at the courthouse, and took care of filings.

What activities do you want to be involved in?  I have already started a running group for law students to help my classmates stay physically active and mentally happy.

This interview was conducted in Fall 2013.
