Jennie Miskell
About Jennie: I have always dreamed of being an attorney. I worked as a paralegal at the Miskell Law Center after graduating from NIU. I would like to practice family law, which was my focus area while working as a paralegal. I also have a ten-month-old baby named Elijah. I look forward to the unique challenge and responsibility of being a mom and a first-year law student. To bring balance to my life, I avidly attend the gym and participate in school organizations and social events.
Previous Legal and/or Professional Experience: I was a paralegal at the Miskell Law Center, and for five years I worked as a supervisor at Six Flags Great America.
What activities are you involved in? I was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority and have been very active in my community through pageants and volunteer work. I look forward to being involved in student organizations and the community here at the College of Law.
Why did you choose NIU Law? I was very attracted to the diverse student body and faculty. I find DeKalb a convenient place to study and enjoy the close-knit community at NIU College of Law.
