Justine Bugaoisan

Justine Bugaoisan

About Justine: I am from southern Maryland, about 15 miles south of Washington D.C. My family is from the Philippines and I hope to visit there someday. I am a first generation college student and now, I am the first person in my family to go to law school. When I have down time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and going to the gym.

Previous Legal and/or Professional Experience: During the summer of 2014, I was a judicial intern at the 18th Judicial Circuit in DuPage County and I worked as a legal intern at the Kane County Public Defender's Office. I also worked as a research assistant for Professor Jeffrey Parness.

Why did you choose NIU Law? What I liked about NIU Law was the close-knit feeling you get here, while still being part of a big university atmosphere.

What activities are you involved in? I am a 2L staff writer for the NIU Law Review and I am a graduate assistant at the NIU Division of Outreach. I plan on competing in the Mock Trial and Moot Court competitions this year.
