Second & Third Year Information & Requirements
To graduate, a student must have satisfactorily completed 90 semester hours of credit, including all required courses, with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.00 (C) or better. Required courses after the first year are Constitutional Law II (600) (which must be taken in the third semester) and Professional Responsibility (735). For students matriculating Fall 2009 and later, Introduction to Lawyering Skills (720) will also be required. Students must also satisfy the upper-division writing requirement.
The other courses needed to fulfill the 90 semester hours required for graduation may be selected from a broad range of offerings. The upper-level elective courses build upon the first year curriculum, provide training in litigation and other lawyering skills, and offer exposure to the full range of practice areas engaged in by lawyers. In addition, the upper-level College of Law curriculum offers several certificate programs.
